Grischuk defeated Anand and joined the leaders. I'm not sure if Anand could have drawn had he played 51...d3 instead of 51...Kd3. I'm failing to find a win for White, but I am not an expert.

So and Giri tied for 1st. They were the winners of the only 2 decisive games in the tournament; the draw rate was unusually high. In the tiebreak match, So emerged victorious.
